Huancavelica: 12 years in prison for participating in rape

Ángel Anderson Pocomucha Prudencio is wanted by the justice system. This is because the 1st Appeals Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of Huancavelica confirmed the conviction of 12 years in prison against the aforementioned subject.

The sentence was for having participated in the rape of a 19-year-old girl, who had accompanied them on a country walk hours before the heinous abuse.

CONFIRM PRISON FOR MOTORCYCLIST

In the first instance, the court sentenced Pocomucha to 12 years of effective sentence because it found him responsible for the aforementioned crime.

According to the prosecution, the events occurred on October 19, 2019.

It was after 11:00 am when the victim and her friend decided to go for a walk to an annex near their town.

Along the way they are joined by their friend’s lover, the defendant, a teenager and another female, being that there are 6 young men who decide to go for a walk.

During the walk, the young people decide to consume alcoholic beverages, and at night, after 7:00 p.m., they decide to return, it is in this that the aggrieved would be taken back by the adolescent and the accused on a motorcycle.

However, on the way, in a clear place, the young men stop and rape the female in turns. First the teenager and then the defendant.

This is why the defendant is prosecuted at the criminal level, while the adolescent is dealt with through family court.

For its part, the defendant’s technical defense claimed innocence and tried to find the arguments to substantiate its approach.

After evaluating the arguments of the procedural parties, the court of first instance sentenced the defendant to 12 years in prison and the payment of 5 thousand soles in civil damages, a sentence that was confirmed in the second instance.
