First Summit of Young Innovative Leaders: More than 130 students come together for the social transformation of the country

With the aim of promoting the leadership of talented students in different subjects and disciplines with social sensitivity, the Tecsup Innovation Center, in alliance with the NGO América Solidaria, will carry out this 21, 22 and 23 of September the 1st Summit of Young Innovative Leaders (“I Innovative Young Leaders Summit”) in Peru.

The first event aimed at students seeks to strengthen the leadership of young innovators at the national level, through projects that help contribute to the development of the country in a post-pandemic context, allowing to reduce social gaps in different sectors through solutions that can be leveraged in technology. and that respond to urgent causes such as the environment, education, health, gender, among others.

“The 1st Summit of Young Innovative Leaders seeks to associate creativity with technology and disruptive thinking of young people under the support of the Tecsup Innovation Center, which is a technological hub that promotes the creation, production and execution of different projects with social impact, technological and innovative. In addition, it promotes networking spaces between young leaders with the support of national and international mentoring” it states, Antonio Lazo de La Vega, Academic Director of Tecsup.

In recent years, technological innovation has become one of the most important competitive advantages worldwide, whether at an academic, professional or business level, making educational entities and organizations trust in the innovative potential of young people and the power of new technologies, being a shared responsibility between the public and private sectors.

Under this new context, this great national meeting will allow adolescents to identify and strengthen proposals to face the challenges of the 2030 Agenda and bring youth closer to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). In addition to constituting a local or territorial network of adolescent agents committed to the social transformation of the continent so that they can represent the country at the International Summit CONCAUSA 2022.

“The initiative will bring together more than 130 young people between the ages of 14 and 17, from different parts of the country, who will work hand in hand with the Tecsup Innovation Center to establish innovative solutions that connect adolescents in Peru in favor of sustainable development and change to different problems of the country and the world” Add, Laura Parrado, Director of Social Management of the NGO América Solidaria.

Among the benefits that the students will obtain at the end of the meeting are the strengthening of their leadership skills and global citizenship, networking opportunities and orientation to face the challenges of the 2030 Agenda. The winning team of this 1st Summit will represent Peru in the Table regional technical prior to the International Summit CONCAUSA 2022, which will be held next November in Santiago de Chile.
