Darwin Espinoza asks that Norma Yarrow not file a complaint against ‘Los Niños’

the congressman (Popular Action) requested that the parliamentarian (Avanza País) did not prepare the report for the complaint against the six legislators nicknamed ‘Los Niños’ for the alleged crime of criminal organization.

Through an official letter sent to the president of the Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations of Congress, Lady Camones (Alliance for Progress)Espinoza indicated that the legislator would have advanced her opinion on the matter.

As proof, the lampa party parliamentarian cited an interview for a local media in which Norma Yarrow said verbatim: “I do think that there are congressmen like in the case of Los Niños who should be outlawed from Congress”.

In this sense and from his point of view, for Darwin Espinoza the legislator of Avanza País “violated the constitutional principle of impartiality that must govern due process”.

“Therefore, he should refrain from preparing the report in this case, as Congressman Ernesto Bustamante Donayre did for the same reasons.”stressed the congressman.

It should be noted that in another official letter sent to Camones Soriano, Darwin Espinoza also asked that Norma Yarrow must refrain from voting on Constitutional Complaint 300.

On November 4, the subcommittee appointed Yarrow as the person in charge of preparing the report on the ‘Los Niños’ case, replacing Ernesto Bustamante (Popular Force), because he advanced his opinion on the complaint.

As recalled, the Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations approved the qualification report that declares the constitutional complaint against Espinoza and his colleagues admissible. Raúl Doroteo Carbajo, Juan Carlos Mori, Jorge Flores, Ilich López Ureña and Elvis Vergara for alleged violation of articles 38 and 39 of the Constitution.

Likewise, for the probable commission of the crimes of aggravated collusion, improper passive bribery, criminal organization, and influence peddling, typified in articles 384, 394, 317 and 400 of the Penal Code, respectively.

Constitutional Complaint 300 was formulated by Congresswoman Patricia Chirinos Venegas (Avanza País), through which the dismissal and disqualification of the accused congressmen for the exercise of public function for 10 years.
