An 8-year-old boy was shot in the middle of a shooting in Malvín Norte

On Wednesday night, an 8-year-old boy was shot in the arm, in the middle of a shootout that occurred in the Malvín Norte neighborhood, Telemundo (Channel 12) reported and the Interior Ministry confirmed to The Observer. For this fact, two men were arrested, one 29 years old and the other 43, with three criminal records.

When the police noticed the injury, the minor was transferred to the Pasteur Hospital, where he was treated for a “superficial gunshot wound to the shoulder”, but is out of danger. At the moment the minor is hospitalized and stable in Casa de Galicia.

The police arrived at the scene due to a complaint made at 10:45 p.m. for shots fired at Calle 125 and Pasaje Central in Malvín Norte. Upon arrival they saw the injured child, who was playing in the street when he was injured, according to what witnesses told the authorities.

While searching the area for evidence, they saw two men shoot and captured them. They seized “a pistol, a bulletproof vest and various ammunition,” reported the Ministry of the Interior.
