Security chief Abinader stable after being admitted

The head of the Presidential Security Corps (Cusep) and in charge of the protection of President Luis Abinader, Celín Rubio Terrero, was hospitalized last Monday afternoon after having suffered a hypertensive crisis and a hemorrhagic brain event.
According to official information, the major general was admitted to the Central Hospital of the Armed Forces, where he received treatment and was diagnosed, in addition to the aforementioned, with a cerebral cavernoma, hypertensive heart disease, controlled hypertension and venous insufficiency due to history.

Rubio’s health situation occurred on Monday around 4:00 in the afternoon, while he was participating in a meeting with his staff and there he suffered a health mishap, according to the Presidency of the Republic.

According to the official note, several tests were carried out on him yesterday morning at the Armed Forces central hospital, but at the same time it was reported that his state of health was stable, that the Major General was in good spirits, talking animatedly and awaiting the decisions of the attending physicians.

In the activities that the President carried out yesterday, Colonel Jemmy Arias Grullón was accompanied, who also watches over the security of the head of state in Cusep.
