The political prisoner’s lawyer has filed 11 appeals before the Managua Court of Appeals (TAM), but none have been answered. The forced separation between Miguel Mendoza and his daughter Alejandra has caused damage to the girl’s physical and emotional health, according to relatives.

Miguel Mendoza has lost more than 30 pounds in prison and when he was presented in the courts of Managua he looked thin. His relatives denounced that he suffers from various illnesses that are not treated by a doctor.
