Fuel prices from April 16 to 22, 2022

The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs reported today that the accumulated rise in fuels in international markets it is around 30.7% so far this year, so the government decided to maintain the hydrocarbon subsidy plan, allocating more than 820 million pesos and thus mitigate the negative impact that this generates in the national economy.

He explained that with this subsidy the government is avoiding “dramatic increases” in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for more than 11 pesos, for premium gasoline at almost 30 pesos and for regular gasoline at almost 40 pesos per gallon. Also regular diesel in more than 72 pesos per gallon and optimum in more than 66.

The Vice Minister of Internal Trade, Ramón Pérez Fermín, explained that in the Dominican Republic the government “is doing everything humanly possible to carry out this complex scenario, and therefore announced that the prices of last week will remain the same.”

“We must respond sensibly, responsibly and with the principle of protecting the pockets of all Dominicans,” said Pérez Fermín. He also maintained that the international price of Texas oil averaged 98.69 dollars a barrel, practically the same as last week’s average.

For the week from April 16 to 22, 2022, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MiPymes arranged that the fuels are sold at the following prices:

  • Premium gasoline: 293.60 pesos per gallon
  • Regular gasoline: 274.50 pesos per gallon
  • Regular diesel: 221.60 pesos per gallon
  • Optimum diesel: 241.10 pesos per gallon
  • Avtur: 264.40 pesos per gallon
  • Kerosene: 300.70 pesos per gallon
  • Fuel oil #6: 192.11 pesos per gallon
  • Fuel oil 1%: 211.77 pesos per gallon
  • Liquefied Petroleum Gas: 147.60 pesos per gallon
  • Natural gas: 28.97 per cubic meter
