Ferrés called the court prosecutor to tell him that he did not ask for reports from his subordinate

The Pro-Secretary of the Presidency, Rodrigo Ferrés, called Court Prosecutor Juan Gómez to inform him that he had not requested any type of report from Flagrancia Prosecutor Diego Pérez, reported the spokesman for the Prosecutor’s Office, Javier Benech. Pérez had formulated a report with different evaluations of his colleagues, reported Search.

The report had been found in the printer of the Public Ministry, which generated tension among his colleagues.

In dialogue with The Observerthe prosecutor Pérez denied that it was a request from the hierarch – with whom, in addition, he has no contact, he assured – and said that it is linked “to another situation”. The document was delivered to the Presidency.

Perez said that corresponds to an appeal for revocation and annulment of the investigation of the occupation of Santa Catalina. “At this time, the appeal for annulment is being substantiated before the Executive Power that I presented jointly and subsidiarily to the revocation,” he indicated.

The prosecutor understands that this case corresponded to Carlos Negro but because of Negro’s friendship with the former court prosecutor Jorge Díaz he managed not to take the case and to have it assigned to him.

Prosecutor Fernando Romano was the one who found the document in the printer of the Public Ministry and gave it to Pérez, according to the latter. Both discussed the subject, Pérez consulted who had presented the letter and “Romano answered evasively, he said that was not the point, that the responsibility was not his” but from Pérez, he said.

The Observer wanted to contact the prosecutor Romano, but He stated that he had “nothing to talk about” or “nothing to contribute”.
