Entrepreneurship: contest launched for innovative and sustainable businesses

The Local businesses that have innovative, scalable or sustainable proposals will be able to compete for a source of financing or an investment fund of up to S/60,000 through the Conecta y Crece program.

The aforementioned initiative is promoted by Cedro, the US Government and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and also has the support of Equilibrium and the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF).

The initiative will be open to people of African descent and indigenous communities, LGTBIQ, with disabilities, migrants, women in a state of vulnerability, the elderly and refugees, whose businesses have been operating for at least three months in Lima or Callao.

Those who wish to participate should take into consideration that after an evaluation process, the prize of S/60,000 will be shared between at least two of the winning businesses.

Participants will also have to support the current operation of their business, as well as the purchases they will make with the amount provided.

Winners will have access to various benefits. Some of them are:

  • personalized consultancies
  • Back office service from a professional team
  • Collaboration for the design of commercial campaigns
  • Collaboration to implement growth strategies
  • Articulation in innovation ecosystems in the commercial field
