The businessman Daniel Principe Collazoswho acted as the driver of the vehicle where he was, at the time of his arrest, the mayor of Anguía, Nenil Medina Guerrero, acknowledged that he is a friend and neighbor of Rocío Pintado Cruz, owner of Grupo Constructor Parasol.
This company is the one that through direct adjudication, without a bidding process, the mayor Nenil Medina awarded a contract of 19.5 million soles for the construction of a road that links several communities of Anguía, including Chugur, where the family of President Pedro Castillo.
The Republic obtained images of the monitoring and surveillance applied by agents of the Special Team coordinated by Colonel PNP Harvey Colchado Huamaní, to Mayor Nenil Medina, in which the mayor is observed in the company of businessman Daniel Príncipe.
For example, the agents of the Special Team detected the moment in which Daniel Príncipe picks up Nenil Medina from the Thai Club sauna and massage center, on Aramburú Avenue, San Isidro. According to statements by the effective collaborator Zamir Villaverde García, he took the nephews of the head of state to the same establishment.
Despite the fact that the Special Team agents understood that Daniel Príncipe was virtually acting as Nenil Medina’s protector, the businessman denied it in an interview with the Sunday newspaper Cuarto Poder.
Principe not only acknowledged that he is a friend of Nenil Medina, but that two months ago he visited him in Anguía, interested in presenting a project for his district.
But the most revealing piece of information that Príncipe offered to the Sunday newspaper was that his 20-year-old neighbor and friend, Rocío Pintado Cruz, lived next to his home, in the Los Delfines Association, in Ventanilla. In that place is the Parasol recreational center, a name similar to that of the company Grupo Constructor Parasol, owned by Rocío Pintado.
Incredibly, according to Cuarto Poder, Daniel Príncipe stated that he did not know that Rocío Pintado had obtained a contract of 19.5 million soles in the district of Anguía, where the mayor is his friend Nenil Medina.
On August 5, La República revealed that Rocío Pintado had accredited a small precarious and uninhabited place in Ventanilla as the address in the contract for 19.5 million soles. No one worked at that address.
Supposedly, Daniel Príncipe intended to hide Nenil Medina in the Parasol recreational center, from his neighbor Rocío Pintado. The images captured by the Special Team actually record the movement of Daniel Príncipe’s vehicle with Nenil Medina in the direction of Ventanilla, but they later gave up.
After having held meetings with President Castillo at the Government Palace (on August 7, 21, 22 and 30, and September 5), on October 5, 2021, the mayor directly awarded the 19.5 million contract. million soles to Grupo Constructor, in consortium with Ibervial, a construction company that owes Sunat 5.9 million soles, and whose owner, Omar Iberico Grández, was sentenced to 3 years for corruption.
The version offered by the businessman Daniel Príncipe Collazos with Rocío Pintado Cruz, both linked to the mayor Nenil Medina, confirms the suspicions of the distribution of public works in the mayor’s office of Anguía, the town of President Castillo.
