The bench of Alliance for Progress (APP) ceded one of its spaces in the Foreign Relations Commission to the former president of Congress Maria del Carmen Alva (Popular Action), sources from César Acuña’s party confirmed to El Comercio.
The decision already appears in the regulatory framework of this parliamentary working group. In this way, the only representative of the APP bench will be the legislator Rosío Salinas.
In the same commission, Alva Prieto appears as an accessory to Popular Action legislators Raúl Doroteo and Hilda Portero.
With this action endorsed by APP, the former head of Parliament may be proposed by one of the members of the Foreign Relations Commission and thus could be elected president of the group.
