From 6:15 a.m. a yellow alert for strong and persistent winds throughout the southern fringe of the national territory, reported the Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet).
The winds will blow in the direction southwestof an expected intensity of between 40 and 60 kilometers per hour, with gusts of up to 80km/h.
The alert affects the south of all the coastal departments of Uruguay, from Colonia to Rochaalthough it also covers some towns in Lavalleja and Florida.
The warning will be updated at 10:30 a.m.or before significant changes.
