Due to the large number of companies that applied to be part of the 2023 ranking, GPTW prepared, for the first time, three lists that position organizations in the country, according to the perception of their own employees, as the best places to work.
In this sense, the country president of GPTW Uruguay, Fedra Feola, expressed that by 2023 new challenges, paradigms and lessons are expected. In this edition, 112 companies that managed to pass a “first level of excellence” participated and 50 were selected for the ranking, based on the surveys of more than 19 thousand workers.
The technology that topped the ranking among small companies
Awalabs was the company that obtained first place among the best places to work in Uruguay, which have between 10 and 50 employees. It is a company that works in the information technology industry and has 19 employees.

“It really fills us with pride because one of our main objectives has always been to create the best place to work that we can, a place where we all feel comfortable and at ease, with a United team, supportive and with the same principlessince we invest a large part of our lives working and sharing with the people at work”, he expressed in exchange with Coffee & Business one of the co-founders of Awalabs Martín Prieto.

Both businessmen expressed that it is essential to continue developing the remote work for their business and agreed that they should work to prioritize human contacteven through video calls and face-to-face instances.
The hotel that was consolidated in first place among medium-sized companies
The hotel brand hilton —with three hotels in Montevideo— was once again positioned for the second consecutive year as the best place to work in Uruguay among organizations of between 51 and 300 people, under the parameters of GPTW. Hilton has 123 employees.

FNC (Fábricas Nacionales de Cerveza) obtained the distinction as the best place to work for more than 301 employees in the 2023 GPTW ranking. The organization is 156 years old and currently has 642 workers on its staff.
