The Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona is the largest and most influential mobile technology event in the world, bringing together more than 1,500 exhibitors and attendees from 150 countries. Within the event, the 4FYN fair stands out, where startups present our solutions. Companies that promise to offer solutions for the near future come together there, and the Uruguayan company Hacknoid was selected among them.
The fair
Hacknoid participate through ProChile, a trade mission that seeks to globalize solutions in European markets of companies based in Chile. It is the first time that ProChile participates in the event carrying its own pavilion. Hacknoid is also based there.
In a conversation with Café & Negocios, the CEO of Hacknoid, Rosina Ordoqui, assured that “being selected within the Chilean delegation through ProChile, in which only eight startups go, represents a great milestone and pride.” In the same sense, she maintained that this positions the company “among the solutions that are strategically aligned with trends in the technological world.”
As detailed by Ordoqui, the selection process for the Uruguayan technology company was a very simple open call to companies based in Chile. Through a web form, the companies applied and presented supporting documentation that proved they had the potential to achieve the objective of generating the necessary networks and providing a solution to a real problem with a relevant trend. “Achieving a simplified explanation of what our platform provides was the key to being part of this select delegation,” Ordoqui evaluated.
In this sense, the company’s exhibition at the international fair will focus on the heart of its business. Hacknoid is a vulnerability management platform that seeks to simplify the way of doing this management, rather than the technological background on which most solutions of this type are based. “For this reason, we will focus on showing our interface and its features in order to expose a really powerful alternative to work on cybersecurity, which focuses on making something so complex simple,” the CEO pointed out.
To future
Asked about what her expectations are in the face of an event of such magnitude, Ordoqui revealed that the company is not in the stage of raising capital by internal decision. “However, generating the bond for the future, if we take that path, is an alternative that is always open,” she indicated.
Along the same lines, the executive director pointed out that their focus is to expand the market, for which they are committed to strengthening partner networks, “and of course, working hard with end customers who are our biggest sponsors,” she concluded.
The entrepreneurial ecosystem
The 4YFN event opens its doors in Barcelona and Catalonia to show the world the new trends and the most disruptive innovation of startups. Today, Barcelona and Catalonia cannot be understood without the vibrant ecosystem of startups.
In just five years the ecosystem has grown by 75%, reaching the current figure of 1,900 startups. These companies cover all the diversity of sectors, with healthtech as the protagonist, followed by software, traveltech and ICTs. All driven by the mix of national and international talent.
