Ceibal Summer School starts a new edition with 3,800 places

From Monday the 6th to Friday the 10th, the fifth edition of the Ceibal Summer School will take place, aimed at teachers, professors and students of Teacher Training. The proposal is presented in a mixed format, with face-to-face, virtual activities through Zoom and streaming on YouTube. The objective is teacher professional development through platforms, tools and other learning resources.

The Ceibal initiative provides a space for permanent training for the entire teaching community of the National Public Education Administration (ANEP) and Teacher Training students, with a set of activities focused on reflective and creative experience. According to the organization, both with interdisciplinary and with the diversity of approaches, the aim is to reach each participant by integrating the multiple challenges of teaching.

In this edition, the thematic axes that will be addressed in the conferences and workshops given by experts from the national and international fields are computational thinking, emotional and inclusive education, language and teaching skills. In terms of inclusive education, there will be two gatherings about communication and higher learning. The objective of all these actions is to promote the professional development of teachers.

Each participant may sign up for a maximum of four workshops or conversations, not counting the conferences. Spaces are limited for all activities and, as they are filled, a waiting list will be created. In relation to the face-to-face sessions, which will be held on the grounds of the Uruguayan Technological Laboratory (LATU), Ceibal will cover lunch and the cost of a round-trip ticket for each attendee who lives in the interior and participates in at least two workshops.
