The Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) detained Juan Rafael López Prieto, deputy director of the Fénix Lara Penitentiary Center, located in Uribana, Iribarren municipality (Barquisimeto), Lara, according to judicial sources. This subject is accused of committing cruel treatment and improper use of a firearm to the detriment of four prisoners of the prison establishment, revealed the source.
Such a situation is described in arrest warrant No. KP01-P-2022-000554 issued by the 4th Control Court of Barquisimeto. Said order was also executed against two custodians of the Fénix Lara: Carlos Enrique Canaguacan Hernández and Juan Carlos Mogollón González, explained the source.
