According to the Dictionary of the Spanish Language of the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE)a hobby is a “activity that, as a hobby or pastime, is usually practiced in leisure time”. So why is it said that including our hobbies in our Curriculum vitae (CV) improves it? Why is it important to highlight them on our resume today?

To begin with, Gabriel Dondero, regional development manager at Visma Latin America, points out that diversifying our hobbies or interests helps train our creativity.

According to him, trying to get involved in a new activity and learn new hobbies that are totally different from what we are used to doing, from learning languages, visiting a new museum to climbing a mountain, “It will help broaden perspective and reveal new possibilities to boost creativity and train the brain”.
