The teachers’ union called for this Monday, March 27, a national demonstration that includes the “taking of Caracas”, to demand compliance with their salary demands. Griselda Sánchez, complaints secretary of the Venezuelan Teachers Union, affirmed that active and retired workers in the sector, administrative and labor personnel and even representatives will join this new day of protest.
«We mobilize in defense of the recovery of our educational system. It is not possible that a worker today cannot be at school all day because he does not have a salary. He is looking for your whistle, looking for your cap and we are going to mobilize together for the right to education and the right to work, “said the union leader in a video broadcast on social networks.
According to announcements shared on Twitter by different leaders and workers in the sector, in the capital, the concentration will be in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Education, in downtown Caracas.

From Plaza Caracas to the corner of Salas, they shouted slogans such as “Silver there is”, “It’s not sanctions, it’s corruption”, in a demonstration that took place in Caracas on March 22. Leaders of the sector, including Carmen Teresa Márquez, from the teachers’ profession, described the unveiling of the corruption plot as “a slap in the face” for those who have been formulating their demands to the Government of Nicolás Maduro for months, who after that has assigned “Moral and Ethics” bonds ».
