Taboga Mayor’s Office repeals decree that prohibited the entry of prepared food and alcoholic beverages to the island

The Mayor’s Office of Taboga, through Mayor Decree No. 1 of January 3, 2022, repealed the decree published on December 31, 2021, which prohibited the transport and entry of alcoholic beverages, pails or containers with prepared food to the island .

The new regulations prohibit the entry of “coolers” with alcoholic beverages or other beverages in glass containers and also food for preparation, preparation, cooking of meals for personal use or for sale on the island’s beaches and in the surroundings.

According to the decree, if the provision is breached, a fine ranging from B / .50.00 to B / .100.00 could be applied, as well as the confiscation of the assets.

Those in charge of monitoring compliance with the norm, according to what the decree establishes will be the justices of the peace, the authorities of the National Police, municipal inspectors, the different security bodies of the Senan, and in the same way, the Fire Department.
