It is worth mentioning that the Servel confirmed that the schedule for the Exit Plebiscite will be from 08:00 to 18:00, when the tables can be closed as long as there are no voters waiting to cast their vote.
In relation to the members of the table, let us remember that the first list was announced last Saturday, August 13, and from the 16th to the 18th of the same month, the corresponding excuses were presented. This Saturday, August 20, Servel published the final list of members who must fulfill this role next Sunday, September 4.
The President of the Board of Directors of Servel, Andrés Tagle, has emphasized that the complaints that parliamentarians and citizens have made on social networks this week (including disqualifications) were not made within the time limits and in the manner indicated by law.
“These accusations and other false news that seek to delegitimize Servel are not new and have been experienced throughout the electoral cycle,” Servel affirmed, adding that “the greatest deployment has occurred in recent weeks and occurs in the context of a worldwide tendency to damage the image of electoral bodies prior to elections or plebiscites”. This, according to the organization, “occurs due to the search of certain political sectors to facilitate the questioning of the results.”
