Presence of armed groups in 9 entities shows vulnerability of the State, according to NGO

“Neither was the existence of military cooperation mechanisms with Colombia to combat them reported, taking into account the reestablishment of military relations between Venezuela and Colombia, announced in August of this year by the Minister of Popular Power for Defense, General in Chief Vladimir Padrino López,” said Control Ciudadano.

The NGO mentioned that Maduro recognized the existence of armed groups also in the states of Barinas and Guárico, referring to the FAN’s “Vuelvan Caras” Operation, which took place in those federal entities. Operations against armed groups in 2022

During the year 2022, the FAN carried out 10 operations in the following states:

3.- Operation “Cacique Murachí”, in Táchira”.

4.- Operation, “Vuelvan Caras”, in the states of Apure, Barinas, and Guárico.

5.- Operation “Autana” in the Amazon.

6.- Operation “Roraima”, in Bolívar State.

7.- Operation “Wara”, in the Delta Amacuro State.

8.- Operation “Cacique Cayaurima” in Sucre State.

9.- Operation “Paramacory” in Monagas State.

10.- Operation “Redimain”, in the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic coast.
