Since the last week of December, complementary booster doses against covid-19 have been administered throughout the country in people for whom it is recommended based on their vaccination status and history of comorbidities.
As of this Tuesday, January 31, the administration of this complementary booster dose (equivalent to the 5th dose) is extended to people over 50 years of age with comorbidities and, therefore, susceptible to serious symptoms of the disease. (COPD, heart disease, diabetes mellitus, etc.).
For people over 50 years of age who do not have chronic diseases, up to a complementary dose (equivalent to the 4th dose) will be administered.
The start of the vaccination scheme is still recommended to all those who have not started it.
