The mother of a 16-year-old boy, who was going to file a criminal complaint against the Senator of the National Party, Gustavo Penadés, received threatening telephone calls in the last few hours. This week it was learned that two minors would join the complaint publicly initiated by the PN militant, Romina Celeste Papasso Oliver, and which was later transferred to the judicial sphere.

The threat was included in the investigation, because the authorities see how serious the fact of threats in a matter that involves potential sexual exploitation of minors and pedophilia, with the aggravation of being a figure of high political power. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, a threat against a person reporting a case like this could interrupt their intentions to carry out the criminal process.

There are more victims, says Romina Celeste

Papasso, who has also helped two of the latest victims to testify this week, ages 15 and 17 respectively, said there are “more victims” than the ones the legal team represents.

Senator Penadés took leave for a month to stay away from the nationalist bench and avoid general friction. Until now, the National Party has not issued criteria or asked Penadés for any concrete action.
