The special commission created to investigate cases of abuse of authority and violations of the rule of law in Veracruz was created on December 23 to investigate, among others, the case of José Manuel del Río Virgen, technical secretary of the Jucopo of the Senate, near collaborator of Monreal who was apprehended in that entity.
The official is identified as allegedly responsible for the murder of René Tovar, the Citizen Movement candidate for mayor of Cazones, who was murdered days before the June election.
That is why, in addition to Monreal, the coordinator of the Citizen Movement, Dante Delgado, was the most active in the case, to which the National Action (PAN) and the Democratic Revolution (PRD) parties joined, as leaders of those political institutes They are also imprisoned in Veracruz for alleged outrages against authority, among other 84 cases of alleged abuses that the Commission managed to gather in a month of work.
These cases will be referred to the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) and the Senate Governance Commission.
Monreal announced that he will continue denouncing cases of abuse in the entity, although the Commission, he said, was legally constituted, in accordance with parliamentary law: “The illegal thing is to disappear people, to subordinate the legislative and judicial powers and the Prosecutor’s Office.”
“I am the coordinator and as the person in charge of the group I don’t like there to be differences. They did not accompany me in this decision, ”said the brunette, however he said calm and wished that the meeting of senators would take place this Friday, although he will not be there because he will travel to Guerrero.
