Minister of Education: “We will denounce mothers who endanger their children in marches”

The Minister of Education warned that that “they take children to protest marches because they ‘expose them to danger and do not respect the human rights of minors.” These statements were made today, in Piura, after inaugurating the Rosa Suárez Rafael educational institution.

“Mothers give their lives for their children. It is not possible that they come from far away places to expose boys and girls to danger. This is an attack against minors that cannot be allowed”, Becerra delimited regarding the issue of children present in social demonstrations.

In addition, the minister considered that “it would be possible that these women are not the mothers of the children present,” as well as “there would be sinister minds behind everything that do not show their faces.”

Regarding the start of classes, the minister pointed out that there is nothing to suggest a return to classrooms scheduled for March 13, since the majority teachers’ union announced that teachers are prepared to return to classrooms with their students. . However, a minority group of teachers declared that they would go on strike, to which Becerra replied that “they would be fired and they would look for real teachers” if they delayed protesting for more than 3 days.
