The ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Bolivia, César Trómpiz, assured this Monday that excluding any country from the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac)-European Union (EU) Summit will lead that meeting to failure in international matters.
“We Latin Americans and the Caribbean have to be very forceful in that, this meeting is important in the sense of generating interregional ties that allow shared development,” he told Prensa Latina, according to AVN.
These statements coincide with a complaint made this Monday by the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez, about the lack of transparency and the manipulative behavior of the EU in the preparation of the III CELAC-EU Summit.
Earlier, the diplomat assured that there are reasons to be concerned with the III Summit of Heads of State and Government of CELAC and the EU, scheduled to be held on July 17 and 18 in Brussels, since they are trying to impose restrictive and divisive formats that would make direct and transparent discussions impossible.
Similarly, Trompiz rejected the constant media attacks by the United States Government against Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua on the eve of that meeting.
“They are corporate media with particular interests that respond to the interests of the oligarchies that have lost control over the popular governments of a good part of Latin America and the Caribbean, especially Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua,” he considered.
From Bolivia, he recalled that the imperial attacks will always be a focus of aggressive propaganda against governments and peoples that do not subordinate themselves to the dictates of the Northern empire.
“These are not the media, they are instruments of neoliberal and capitalist doctrine against the sovereignty of the countries that build socialism and promote social justice,” the diplomat concluded.
