louis molinacandidate for mayor of Lima for Country advanceswas pronounced after being excluded from the 2022 Regional and Municipal Elections by the National Election Jury (JNE) and assured that the body “has mistreated once again” his application.
In a statement, he regretted the JNE’s decision to exclude him from the race for mayor of Lima based on “formalisms” above his right to be elected and the voters’ right to choose.
“In this way, the JNE has become the great voter in Lima, preventing citizens from deciding who should lead the capital”he expressed.

“The JNE has once again mistreated my candidacy: first it voted, declaring my appeal unfounded, and then declaring it partially founded and, later, just issuing the resolution in which I am excluded from the electoral process”he added.
Molina also described “unusual” that in its final resolution, the JNE has only authorized a candidate for councilor for Avanza País.
“I deplore that this decision undermines democracy and violates the right of the residents of Lima to choose and be chosen freely”sentenced.
As recalled, the JNE decided to declare as inadmissible the candidacy for mayor of Lima of Luis Molina for the Avanza País party, as well as of 38 candidates for aldermen from your list.
Resolution 1417-2022-JNE confirms the decision made in the first instance by the Central Lima Special Electoral Jury that had declared the candidacy of Molina and all his councilors inadmissible.
The JNE, in the second and last instance, only resolved to vary the decision in the case of councilor number 24 on the list of Avanza País, Maria Elena Soto Velasquezabout whom he pointed out that he will be able to continue in the race for the elections on October 2.
