Government extends deadline until March to regularize payments before the DGI

The executive power approved a decree by which it extends until March 31, 2022one more month, the term to benefit from the regime of facilities for taxpayers of taxes collected by the General Tax Directorate (DGI), a facility that was given by law last year to face the impact of the pandemic.

The facility regime offers benefits for taxpayers who owe taxes and their corresponding tax violations, except fraud, and whose payment due date is prior to February 28, 2021.

The amount of each of the installments established under this regime may in no case be less than UI 1,000 (approximately $5,246 at today’s values). The process begins with Online Services/Procedures/Start requestselecting the Agreements procedure, and indicating the corresponding sub-procedure according to the group to which the taxpayer belongs.
