The fencer from the Mérida state, Shia Rodríguez, joined the group of Venezuelan athletes who are currently the image of the Bank of Venezuela (BDV), reported the AVN web portal.

Rodríguez, an athlete of competitions inside and outside the borders in the specialty of women’s saber, individual and group, has just won the gold medal at the XIX Bolivarian Games Valledupar 2022, thanked the authorities of the Bank of Venezuela for the support they have given him. provided as its official sponsor.

“Thanks to the BDV for seeing me at this moment before I had the Pan American medal, thanks because they saw me at a time when no one was seeing me,” he said.

The discipline and perseverance that Shia Rodríguez has maintained when venturing into this sport, since she was eight years old, have led this athlete to win various medals in national and international competitions.

Rodríguez participated in the 2021 National Fencing Championship in Canada, the Pan American Championship in Paraguay and is currently part of the delegation of the 584 athletes representing Venezuela in the XIX Bolivarian Games Valledupar 2022.
