Deputy María León and a group of Chavista leaders request the Public Ministry to open a criminal investigation into the death of Hugo Chávez.
León drafted a document that he will record before the Public Ministry where they request “the initiation of a criminal investigation to determine if, as has been indicated on several occasions in a public, notorious and communicational manner, the illness and subsequent death of our President Commander-in-Chief Hugo Chávez has been due to causes other than natural ones”.
There they point out that Chávez “was extremely brave when facing the enemy’s jaws against it, against the empire, against its hegemony.”
They warn in the letter that the request for a scientific investigation is not registered “in the imagination and as a source of a sequel to the conspiracy theory.”
They clarify that it is not about pretending the physical resurrection of the deceased president.
“It is that if Chávez’s death were provoked, as has been denounced from the very moment of his death by figures of the high national government and world political personalities and, even, scientists, we would be in the presence of the most transcendental assassination of the contemporary history from the point of view of world geopolitics”, he stated.
