One person died and four others were injured on Tuesday when a car and a truck collided on Highway 2 in the Buenos Aires town of Lezama, traffic sources reported.
The incident occurred around 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday at the kilometer 149, direction Capital Federalin Lezama, where for unknown reasons a VW Up car collided with the back of a Mercedes Benz tanker truck.
As a result of the impact, a middle-aged woman died on the spotwhile four other people suffered injuries, including another woman who was in a delicate condition.
All the injured were transferred to the Lezama Prompt Care Unit, reported from Aubasa, the concessionaire of the route.
Personnel from the Lezama Volunteer Fire Department, the Lezama Road Police Detachment and Aubasa Road Safety worked at the site.
From that moment on, the highway had only one lane enabled, awaiting the arrival of the road experts ordered by the courts.
