The deputy to the National Assembly José Gregorio Correa announced that Venezuela is returning to the Mercosur Parliament (Parlasur).
After completing a tour in Brazil together with parliamentarian Óscar Ronderos, Correa emphasized that “we can ensure that Venezuela will return to the heart of Parlasur, a natural setting where Venezuela has always had to be.”
He pointed out that during the visit to the South American nation, “the receptivity we have had from senators and deputies from different factions, from the Government or the opposition, have understood that the Parliament in Venezuela is one and that our return is immediate ” .
José Gregorio Correa said that in the next few days “we can tell Venezuela and the world that we will be back at Parlasur, which is a fair recognition of our efforts and our work as parliamentarians and of the country.”
It is worth noting that the Bolivarian nation was suspended from this South American instance in 2017.
