Comptroller intervenes 115 public institutions in Huancavelica and finds alleged damage of 8 million

During the anti-corruption mega-operation of the Comptroller of the Republic, they detected that there is a loss of 8 million soles in Huancavelica.

This, after carrying out several months of work in which they managed to supervise a total of 36 million soles in public resources executed by various state entities of Huancavelica.

They also identified a total of 122 public officials with alleged administrative, civil and/or criminal responsibility in possible acts of functional misconduct and corruption.

From the Comptroller’s Office they report that they managed to carry out a total of 351 interventions, exceeding the goal established in September of last year.

Of that number, 272 are control services or reports, including entities dependent on the Central Government, as well as others from the Regional Government and municipalities, adding a total of 115 public entities that were investigated during the last seven months.

The interventions were divided into control services, related services (which are the collection of information and attention to citizen complaints), as well as transversal integrity and prevention activities (awareness talks, technical assistance and training sessions).

The vice comptroller for strategic management and public integrity, Humberto Ramírez Trucios, mentioned that they controlled a total of S/ 348 million of State resources destined for public investment, goods and services, as well as human resources management and others.
