According to data from the National Institute of Statistics, through the Continuous Household Survey, Cerro Largo is the department that registers the lowest unemployment rate in the country.
The INE communication indicates that in the moving quarter September-November of last year, the unemployment rate was 3.5%, almost half of Maldonado, which registered 6.3%.
The Activity Rate in the same period in Cerro Largo was 59.1% and the Employment Rate was 57.0%.
In the quarter, the department with the highest unemployment was Tacuarembó with 13.8%. It is followed by Río Negro with 12.9, Treinta y Tres with 11.5%, while all the others are below double digits.
At the beginning of next February, the National Institute of Statistics will reveal the data corresponding to the last quarter of the year: October-December.
