“The strategic, serene and firm-handed management of the National Government in the face of the United States’ aggressions against Venezuela is what has preserved the peace of the country,” said the Vice Minister of Anti-Blockade Policies, William Castillo.
“There was an imminent danger that this country would enter into an armed conflict and there would be many more deaths, because Donald Trump in the United States was waiting for some events,” Castillo commented on some critical moments experienced in recent years.
He also reiterated that despite the failed attempts of Juan Guaidó, the National Government has been in charge of caring for the fundamental good of the country and that is the peace of the Venezuelan people.
“A government that dialogues and does not want violence is obliged to speak to the whole world,” he said during an interview on Venezolana de Televisión.
Castillo added that peace has also been maintained because the electoral processes have not stopped, “with or without a blockade, Venezuela has had electoral elections during these years of aggression with the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the country.”
There are multiple attacks on the country, including opposition and foreign violence.
