The Attorney General of the Republic, Augusto Aras, tested positive for covid-19, the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) informed today (2) in a note. He has already taken three vaccines against the disease and is asymptomatic, according to the agency.
As a result of the positive test, Aras will not participate in the opening session of the legislative year in the National Congress, scheduled for the afternoon of this Wednesday (2).
The diagnosis was discovered through routine examination, the PGR said. Aras continues to work remotely, from home. At first, the removal will take place until the end of this week, as recommended by the doctor, added the body.
