Maduro received the ambassadors of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and Colombia in Miraflores. He stressed that with the arrival of diplomats, Venezuela consolidates relations of respect and brotherhood
The Miraflores Palace was the scene for the reception of the ambassadors of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and Colombia, this Monday, August 29. Nicolás Maduro received the ambassadors separately, with the aim of receiving credentials as diplomatic representatives of his nations in Venezuela.
The presence of the Colombian ambassador Armando Benedetti, who arrived in the country on Sunday 28, marks another step in the process of reestablishing diplomatic relations between the two nations.

In the meeting with Maduro, Benedetti made the formal delivery of his credential letters. “We talked about the urgency of reestablishing the bonds of friendship that should never have been broken,” he said on his Twitter.
In previous statements, the Colombian ambassador said that his first step as ambassador will be to “open the border as quickly as possible, that will be the first point that I am going to touch” on Maduro. Another of the topics that he will address would be an offer by President Petro to acquire an important part of the shares of Monómeros.
For his part, Maduro described the meeting with Benedetti as pleasant and fraternal, “it is the beginning of a stage of diplomatic relations of brotherhood, peace and respect. A hug to the Colombian people, brothers and sisters,” he said.
Mohamed Salem Ali Ergueibi, ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, also presented his credentials as a designated diplomat for Venezuela. “Venezuela, with the Bolivarian diplomacy of peace, consolidates relations of respect and brotherhood with the Arab people,” Maduro said.
