At approximately five in the afternoon on Monday, November 28, they located the lifeless body of Alexis Ramos, 56, after being dragged along the Naiguatá River, in Vargas, when he was trying to cross it with his partner Eusebio Da Corte, also from 56 years.
According to the portal Vargas Reportsthe body was located by fishermen two nautical miles from the parish pier and its recovery was carried out by officials of the security and prevention forces of the Vargas state: Police, Firefighters, Civil Protection, Bolivarian National Police and Municipal Police.
The sister of the deceased, Reina Castillo, said that the victim had returned from work and decided to share a few drinks with some friends on the banks of the river.
However, when they noticed the rise of the river, Ramos and da Corte desperately tried to cross, being rammed by the force of the current. Da Corte managed to be rescued by neighbors and taken to the Naiguatá health clinic. Subsequently, members of the Immediate Medical Response Brigade (Briem) transferred him to the Social Security hospital where he remains in custody.
It was learned that the rains in Naiguatá have been recorded since early Monday morning, while according to Inameh reports the rainfall could continue until this Wednesday in the presence of a trough at high levels.
