According to figures presented by the Venezuelan Observatory of Public Services (OVSP), in its report for the month of May, 62.4% of citizens in 12 cities in the country negatively valued the electricity service, mainly due to fluctuations and intermittence.

Cities such as San Cristóbal, Táchira state (92.9%), followed by Mérida, capital of the homonymous Andean state (89.4%), and Maracaibo, Zulia state (77.3%), are the localities with the highest negative valuation of the service.

The first three cities with the highest percentage of negative assessment were Maracaibo (79.5%), Porlamar, Nueva Esparta state (78.5%) and Punto Fijo, Falcón state (74%).

“However, the fourth position corresponded to Caracas with 72.2% when in the previous measurement (January 2022) it occupied eighth place with 62.1%. That is, the percentage of negative valuation increased by more than 10 percentage points,” added the OVSP.
