“It is important to point out that, during the first quarter of this year, according to official figures, consumption of grade 2 diesel grew by approximately 12%. Meanwhile, the wholesale channel began to register a drop in sales of 2.5% on average, which indicates a slight migration of wholesale consumers to the retail channel and complicates logistics requirements,” YPF said in the statement.
They recalled that the firm “is the main supplier of diesel in the country with 56% of the market” and that “in an international context of shortage of diesel, the company is making a significant logistical effort to reach all its points of sale with diesel. sale, and guarantee the supply of the productive sector”.
The president of the Argentine Rural Society, Nicolás Pino, through his account on the social network Twitter, warned about a supposed “lack of diesel in different areas of the country.”
