The Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet) warns that an atmospheric depression is beginning to deepen over the southeast of the national territory, generating sustained winds between 50-60 km/h, with gusts of 60-80 km/h. The wind increase will be gradual from the SW to the E of the country.
The increase in winds fits into the special forecast issued by Inumet on Sunday afternoon, where “very strong winds, heavy rains, low thermal sensations and strong waves were forecast.
“The weather alerts that will begin on Monday the 16th will continue until Wednesday the 18th. They will increase their level towards Tuesday the 17th, decreasing during Wednesday the 18th, when it is expected that conditions will begin to improve as the cyclone moves away from our coasts,” adds the shipment. .
