A tragedy has dismayed the population of Casigua El Cubo, in the state of Zulia, when it is confirmed that 10 people from a family were burned to death and 2 are seriously ill, when the ranch where they lived caught fire.
The event occurred at 4:30 a.m. this Friday, July 22. in a house located in the sector called “Santa Lucía”, Jesús María Semprúm municipality, Zulia state. Among the fatal victims are children, adolescents, adults and a pregnant woman.
According to the report of the Zoedan-Zulia National Risk System, it details that the humble house was 100 percent consumed by the flames.

Among the preliminary versions provided, unofficially, by the Dilmeronews Instagram account, by Dilmero Urdaneta, it is presumed that there was gasoline stored and when a candle fell, the explosion was caused or it could have been a short circuit in the air conditioning, and the fire immediately spread throughout the house. ; In the midst of the alarm, all the residents chose to lock themselves in a room where they were trapped, dying incinerated.
Upon learning that his home was burning, Didier González, a fire officer, tried to save his wife and children, but the smoke was suffocating him and he could not move forward because the flames were expanding unmercifully. He was left with injuries to a large part of his body and was transferred to the San Cristóbal Hospital, but his relatives requested through the networks to take him to the Burns Unit of the Coromoto Hospital, in Maracaibo.
Keiner Navarro, 16 years old, was also injured with first degree burns on his body.
A statement by Major (B) Luis Cabrera circulated on the networks, informing that the injured (without giving identities) are at the San Cristóbal Hospital but the conditions are not in accordance with the treatment they require and therefore the transfer to the Emergency Unit is urgent. burned at the Coromoto Hospital in the capital of Zulia.

One of the deceased ladies, her identity is unknown, it was only reported that she was visiting and lived in the state of Táchira.
The procedure was carried out by the Fire Department of Casigua El Cubo and Colón, Civil Protection, Municipal Police, PNB, Cpbez, GNB and SEBIN. The mayor of the Jesús María Semprúm municipality, Wuyhsmans González, moved to the place.
