Executive maintains fuel prices despite international rise
The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining (MIEM) reported that the prices of Super 95 gasoline, 50S diesel and supergas will remain unchanged for the second consecutive month, despite the fact that the import parity price (PPI) suggested an increase. The decision seeks to minimize the impact on the country’s economic activity. The current values will be in effect throughout the month of August.
Thus, Super 95 gasoline remains at a maximum retail price of 77.54 pesos per liter, while Diesel 50S will remain at 52.42 pesos per liter. Supergas, meanwhile, will remain at 80.75 pesos per kilo.
“The Executive Branch remains committed to continuing to minimize the impact of international fluctuations in energy prices on national economic activity and the cost of living of Uruguayans,” MIEM reported.
