The Public Ministry (MP) presents this Friday before the 4th Terrorism Control Court in Caracas, the elements of conviction to accredit the different criminal types to 12 detainees for the kidnapping and murder of the revolutionary Carlos Lanz.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported on the development of the indictment hearing where the prosecutors of the MP present these elements before the judge.
Saab added that the procedure includes Maxyoriosol Cumare, alleged mastermind of the crime of hired assassins against Lanz, as well as the other accomplices in the act.
Earlier, Cumare was transferred for the presentation hearing to the Palace of Justice, this after the exposure of the informer Glenn Castellanos this Thursday, reported AVN.
Cumare was guarded by members of the Corpsor Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (CICPC).
The testimonial evidence released by the prosecutor last Wednesday, verified at the Castellanos accusation hearing on July 7, shows that Cumare, Lanz’s wife, paid $8,000 for the revolutionary’s assassination.
Others involved, betrayed by Castellanos, is Tito Viloria and his partner, who took Professor Lanz out of his house on August 8, 2020, and under deception led to his kidnapping by two hitmen on the Central Regional Highway, Aragua, to later take him to a farm in Cojedes, where he was killed and dismembered.
The facts about the Lanz case
Maxiorisol Cumare, also known as “Mayi”, is accused as the intellectual author, she will be charged with the alleged commission of contract killing, association to commit a crime, corruption and simulation of a punishable act.
In addition to Alyeska Berenice Gil Cumare (stepdaughter) and Abyayala Esperanza Lanz Cumare (daughter), will be charged with crimes for concealment and simulation of a punishable act, reported the page of the Venezuelan Public Ministry (MP).
The MP was able to determine the participation of these people after an investigative process that led to the location of a domestic, Maryuri Acevedo, who worked for more than 20 years in the residence of the murdered professor and revealed great secrets that led the officials to the Direct and intellectual murderers.
