Venezuelans believe that the implementation of a plan to improve school infrastructure should be prioritized, revealed a study presented Tuesday by the United Nations Children’s Fund in Venezuela.
On Twitter, the organization reported that the representative of Unicef Venezuela, Abubacar Sultan, participated in the presentation of the Global Consultation for Educational Transformation in which more than 173,000 people from the country participated, who also requested an increase in the coverage of the educational program. school feeding and Internet access in educational spaces.
“The representative of Unicef Venezuela, Abubacar Sultan, participated in the presentation of the results of the Global Consultation for Educational Transformation, answered by more than 173,000 people in the country, resulting in the School Infrastructure Improvement Plan being the strategy to prioritize”, UNICEF detailed.
Sultan presented the results of this consultation to representatives of the Ministry of Education and highlighted the importance of “exchanging good practices, learning from other experiences and the commitment of the leadership in the implementation of the recommendations”.
Likewise, the organization ratified its commitment to the learning of Venezuelan children and adolescents through the implementation of its education and capacity-building program in the educational sector.
Last July, Unicef celebrated its 55th anniversary of work in Venezuela with a fair to promote children’s rights, held in a public park in eastern Caracas.
Unicef began operations in Venezuela in 1967, with the signing of a basic cooperation agreement “to accompany efforts to meet the needs of children and promote their rights.”
