Through Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil, the national government held two meetings with representatives of Iraq and Palestine in order to strengthen relations and bilateral agreements.
Venezuela and Iraq Arzerbaijan, between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, and
Iraqi First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Muhammad Hussein, met with Foreign Minister Gil in order to review agreements on matters of common interest, during a meeting in Baku.
At the meeting, both representations reviewed their historical relations, marked by the fight against imperialism and the defense of the right of the people to choose their destiny without foreign interference, according to a press release from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry.
“We spoke with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, Fuad Hussein, about the ties that unite our peoples, not only in economic and energy matters, but also in culture and friendship. We are sister nations with a common destiny,” the Venezuelan foreign minister wrote on Twitter.
Likewise, they expressed their willingness to consolidate relations for the benefit of both nations, especially in areas such as culture, tourism, air transport, technology, energy, security and intelligence, reports AVN.
Similarly, the Foreign Minister met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, and his Palestinian counterpart Riad Malki, where they reaffirmed the ties of cooperation.
This meeting was held within the framework of the Ministerial Meeting of the Coordination Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) that is being held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
“In a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine, Dr Riad Malki, we worked on our bilateral agenda and expressed our support for the Palestinian people who are resisting increasingly ferocious aggressions with which they intend to plunder their lands”, published the Chancellor Gil on the social network Twitter.
Both diplomats reviewed the possibilities of advancing in concrete agreements in economic and social matters, reports a note from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry.
