Driver of line 123 that caused a fatal traffic accident refrained from declaring and the Prosecutor’s Office will request his arrest in Palmasola

Pascual Y., driver of a bus on line 123, abstained this Wednesday from providing his informative statement before the commission of prosecutors for the traffic fatality that caused Tuesday afternoon in the Los Lotes area and that left the balance of a deceased person.

After indulging in silence, the defendant was apprehended and this Thursday his hearing of precautionary measures is expected where the Prosecutor’s Office will request before the Justice his preventive detention in the Palmasola prison, for the dangerous driving offense, serious injury and minor and homicide in traffic accident.

Freddy Choque, the driver’s lawyer, stated that his defendant made the decision to assume the economic expensesin addition to the SOAT insurance, of the 12 passengers who are hospitalized in different clinics in the capital of Santa Cruz, as a result of the strong impact of the motorized vehicle in the drainage channel.

In time to send condolences, the lawyer noted that the The driver will cover the expenses needed by the relatives of Pedro Paz (63), the passenger who lost his life at the Vitalvid clinic. He added that Pascual’s health is stable although he is still recovering.

An official report is awaited by the Traffic Unit to find out what were the causes that led to the traffic accident.
