The Minister of Communication, Freddy Ñáñez, reported that during the last 24 hours the country registered 137 coronavirus infections, 129 by community transmission and 8 imported.
In his Twitter account, he explained that the community cases are located in the following states: Miranda 35; Caracas 31; Yaracuy 23; Monagas 21; Aragua 7, among others.
Miranda presents the highest number of infections in 9 of its 21 municipalities: Sucre 7; Urdaneta 7; Independence 6; lander 5; Chacao 5, among others.
The official indicated that of the 8 imported cases, 5 come from the Dominican Republic, 2 from Panama and 1 from Cuba. All with entrance through La Guaira.
According to the data, the country reached 528,429 confirmed cases, 2,801 active cases and 519,887 people recovered, which represents 99% of infections
To date there are 1,754 patients who are asymptomatic, 857 with mild acute respiratory failure, 141 with moderate acute respiratory failure and 49 in the Intensive Care Unit.
“Today we do not report deaths in our country, we maintain the figure of 5,741 in the national territory,” he concluded.
