Venezuela is one of the countries with the greatest natural wealth in the world, in this sense the head of state recalled through a message published on his social networks the International Day of Biodiversity with the commitment to act radically to stop the climate crisis generated for capitalism.
Ecological diversity is essential to save Mother Earth, so peoples must join efforts to help protect and conserve biodiversity, essential to ensure future generations a more harmonious life.
Given the importance of public education and awareness for the implementation of the Convention at all levels, the General Assembly proclaimed May 22, the date of approval of the text, the International Day for Biological Diversity, through resolution 55/201, in 2000.
The Convention on Biological Diversity is the international instrument for “the conservation of biological diversity, the sustainable use of its components and the fair and equitable sharing of the benefits derived from the use of genetic resources”, which has been ratified by 196 countries.
The celebration of biodiversity should call us to act radically to stop the climate change generated by capitalism. The ruthless exploitation of our Pachamama threatens life. If we want a decent future for humanity, let’s change the system! pic.twitter.com/XaonplebUP
