Venezuela greets Argentina for 206 years of its Independence

Maduro: as long as empires exist, we will continue to fight battles

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela greeted the Republic of Argentina this Saturday, for the commemoration of the 206th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, following a decision by the Congress of Tucumán.

Through a statement, Venezuela “pays a heartfelt tribute to the heroes José de San Martín, Manuel Belgrano, Antonio González Balcarce, Martín Miguel de Güemes, and to all the patriots who offered their lives in the name of freedom and the emancipation of sister Argentina ».

«The Bolivarian Government reaffirms its unwavering struggle for the union of our America, in the face of imperial aggression, and vindicates the historical struggles for independence and self-determination, as a faithful legacy of our heroes and emancipatory leaders, for the construction of a world of justice, peace and freedom”, refers to the text, published on the website of Chancellery.

Later, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, greeted the event and stressed that “the countries of the world are destined to be sovereign.”
